My story
Hi, I'm Jacob, but everyone calls me Jake.
I've been working hands-on with dogs since 2020, and I've had dogs in my life since 2007. From a young age, I've always loved animals-especially dogs. I trained my very first dog on my own as a kid, which sparked a lifelong passion that eventually turned into a career.
Today, I am a certified dog trainer and am Pet CPR certified, having graduated from Animal Behavior College. My goal as a trainer is to help dogs and their owners better understand one another by building clear communication, trust, and a strong bond through training.
Too often, dogs are rehomed or labeled as having "behavior problems" simple because their owners were never given the tools to understand their dog's behavior or communication effectively. When training and bonding don't happen, these behaviors can worsen over time-especially in shelter environments.
I believe every dog deserves a chance, regardless of age, background, size, personality, or breed.
The way I train is by using positive reinforcement.
Positive reinforcement focuses on rewarding desired behaviors, helping your dog create strong mental pathways that turn good behaviors into habits. This approach:
- Strengthens the bond between you and your dog
- Reduces stress and anxiety
- Encourages faster, more reliable learning
- Builds confidence and trust
Training should be enjoyable for both you and your dog, and positive reinforcement helps make that possible.
Classes
Establish a strong foundation through positive reinforcement and socialization techniques designed for early development and lasting trust.
Addressing reactive behaviors using a compassionate approach to ensure no dog is left behind, focusing on stress-free communication and harmony.
A fun class or individual training sessions that have small agility jumps and cones to weave through. Will teach you how to work and bond with your dog through skills such as shake, roll over, chin rest, and differentiate between the colors yellow and blue, and so much more!

Jacob did a FANTASTIC job helping me and my family with training our Golden Retriever, Moose. He is a great listener and truly cares for the dogs he interacts with. He's got the Animal Behavior College education, and will even do research on other training methods if asked. Moose is noticeably happier and better behaved over the past 6 weeks. Moose graduated the program, and I'm excited to continue training to help further reduce overall anxiety. I highly recommend Jacob!
